With everything that is going on, sometimes it can be hard to balance a healthy lifestyle. Here are a few key things I incorporate in my day to help me keep my balance.
Keeping a routine can help you stay active, manage stress and encourage healthy habits. Start by making small changes, whether it’s moving your body more or learning to make healthier meals. It all adds up!
Meditation has been the most transforming element in my wellness journey. Dedicating time to being ‘present’, letting go of your thoughts and slowing the mind and body can have powerful effects on your wellbeing. I aim to sit for 20mins in the morning and afternoon each day.
Throughout the day I try and put some time aside for myself. Whether that’s getting outside for a 15 – 20-minute walk or curling up to a good book, having a moment to myself allows me to recharge.
I love to diffuse essential oils throughout the day. I usually diffuse peppermint or ylang ylang during the day to help with my concentration and lavender or vetiver to help me unwind in the evening.
I ensure that I switch off from technology an hour before bed. This helps me wind down, relax and have a good night sleep.
